# Manage assets

## Create a brand

A brand represents a product line or company identity within your organization. It acts as a container for products, which in turn hold the assets you'll use to generate visuals.

### When to create a brand

Create a brand when you're working with a new product line or company identity. Once created, brands are shared across your entire organization. All users can create, access, and use them, regardless of team or role.

### How to create a brand

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

#### Go to <kbd>Assets</kbd>

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Select <kbd>+ New Brand</kbd> at the bottom of the left column

This button will open a modal.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Choose the brand name and select <kbd>Create brand</kbd>

{% hint style="info" %}
**Tip:** The brand name should be clear for everyone in the organization.
{% endhint %}
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Your new brand appears in the left column list

Now it's time to add your first product!
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## Add a product

A product sits within a brand and acts as a folder for product assets. Products represent individual product lines or SKUs that contain the actual assets (product shots, textures, references) you'll use for visual generation.

### When to create a product

Create a product for each product line or SKU needing its own asset library. After creating a product, you can upload and use assets in your projects. Products belong to a brand, so ensure you have at least one brand before creating a product.

### How to create a product

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

#### Go to <kbd>Assets</kbd>

{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Select the brand you want to add the product to

The brand list is visible in the left column.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

#### Select <kbd>+ New Product</kbd> on the right column

You can add one or more product assets directly from your files at this step.

**Recommended formats:** Use PNG, JPEG, or TIFF under 50MB and over 1000px to ensure good results and smooth loading times.
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.theseaai.com/accountsetup/assets.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
