Create Signature
Create, reveal, edit, and publish a Signature using brand visuals, documents, questions, and notes.
Signature is available on Premium and Enterprise plans. If you do not see it in your workspace, contact your organization admin or your account team.
Signature decodes a brand's visual logic: tonality, light, texture, composition, mood, and what to avoid. It structures that knowledge into an active object that guides every generation precisely, keeping your team in control of what each piece means. AI models trained on everything produce the average of everything. For brands whose value is their distinctiveness, Signature is what prevents that.
Creating a Signature is an Admin and Team Lead action. To apply an existing Signature to your generations, see Use Signature in Playground.
How to create a Signature
Build the board
The board is a freeform canvas. Drop in everything that represents the brand: campaign visuals, reference images, guidelines documents, links, and notes. Order does not matter.

Use the floating toolbar at the bottom of the screen to add content:
Images — pick from your organization's existing visuals, or upload files directly (PNG, JPEG, PSD, up to 90 MB). You can also drag images from your computer straight onto the board. You can select up to 20 images at a time.
Questions — opens a list of brand questions grouped by type. Selecting one creates a text note pre-filled with that question as a starting point. Answer it in the note; answered questions are removed from the list.
Documents — attach brand guidelines PDFs, DOCX files, or plain text (up to 90MB)
You need at least 12 images before you can reveal your Signature.
The more relevant campaign visuals you include, the sharper the generated Signature will be. Published key visuals are the strongest input.
Reveal your Signature
When your board is ready, select Reveal Signature in the top-right corner of the screen.
Beachside processes everything on the board and generates a structured Signature document. This takes approximately 6 to 10 minutes.
You can wait on the screen or select Continue in the background to return to the library. A loading card with a spinner appears in the grid while processing is underway. Select View on that card at any time to check progress.

Review and edit the Signature
Once processing is complete, the generated Signature opens in editable mode. Review each section and correct anything that feels off.

The Signature is organized into sections: Overview, Emotions, Mission, Audience, Colors, Composition, Light, Texture, Campaigns, and No GOs.
To edit:
Click any text field to edit it inline. Clicking outside saves the change.
Click a color swatch to open the color picker.
Replace images in any section by hovering the image and selecting the replace option.
Publish
When the Signature is ready, select Publish in the top navigation.
The Signature is now live. It appears in the library for the full organization, and becomes available in the Playground Signatures tab for everyone on the team.
Selecting Save as draft instead saves your edits without making them live. The library card shows a "This signature is a draft" label so the team knows the latest version is not published yet.
Edit an existing Signature
Open any published Signature from the library and select Edit in the top-right corner. The board and reveal steps are skipped. The Signature opens at the editable document view, pre-populated with the current published version.
The first change you make — to any text, color, or image — automatically moves you to a new draft version. The published version stays live until you explicitly select Publish.
To discard your draft and return to the published state, open the version selector in the top navigation, switch back to the published version, and confirm.
FAQ
How many images do I need to build the board?
At least 12 images. The "Reveal Signature" button is visible at all times but is disabled until you meet the minimum. A tooltip explains why.
What happens if generation fails?
If an error occurs during processing, Beachside returns you to the board with an error message at the top. Your board content is intact. Resolve the issue and select "Reveal Signature" again to retry.
Can I keep using Beachside while a Signature is generating?
Yes. Select "Continue in the background" on the Reveal screen. A loading card appears in the library grid. You can continue using Beachside while the signature is created.
What is the difference between Publish and Save as draft?
"Publish" makes the new version live immediately. The Playground starts using it for all future generations where this Signature is active. "Save as draft" saves your edits without changing what is live. The published version remains active until you explicitly publish an update.
Can I go back to an earlier version?
Yes, using the version selector in the top navigation. Switching to a previous version shows a confirmation prompt before reverting, since any unpublished draft changes will be discarded.
Can I export a Signature?
An "Export to PDF" button is visible in the top navigation of the Signature view.
