## How to use

## Directional light

Directional Light adjusts global lighting across the entire scene.

The light task will "add" light and not change the light of your scene.

#### Select ”Light”

In the left task menu, select <kbd><mark style="color:$primary;">**Light**<mark style="color:$primary;"></kbd>.

This opens the Light workspace for your current scene.

#### Upload a Product Image

The product image will be used as the foreground element.

You may upload an image by:

* Selecting <kbd><mark style="color:$primary;">**Upload an image**<mark style="color:$primary;"></kbd> inside the scene
* Dragging and dropping an image from a folder on your computer
* Dragging and dropping an image from the Library panel at the bottom-left of the screen

Once uploaded, the product will appear in the scene.

#### Select Directional light

Directional light is selected by default.\
At the top of the scene, select the <kbd><mark style="color:$primary;">**Direction**<mark style="color:$primary;"></kbd> tab.

#### Adjust Light Direction

You may select the direction of the light from the points placed on the edges of the scene or from the Light settings panel on the right.

**Select from scene:**

1. Hover the white points on the corners of the scene.
2. Select your desired light direction.
3. A light indicator will show the selected direction.

**Select from the Light settings panel:**

1. Open the direction dropdown list.
2. Select one of the following directions:
   * <kbd><mark style="color:$primary;">**Bottom left**<mark style="color:$primary;"></kbd>
   * <kbd><mark style="color:$primary;">**Left center**<mark style="color:$primary;"></kbd>
   * <kbd><mark style="color:$primary;">**Top left**<mark style="color:$primary;"></kbd>
   * <kbd><mark style="color:$primary;">**Top center**<mark style="color:$primary;"></kbd>
   * <kbd><mark style="color:$primary;">**Top right**<mark style="color:$primary;"></kbd>
   * <kbd><mark style="color:$primary;">**Right center**<mark style="color:$primary;"></kbd>
   * <kbd><mark style="color:$primary;">**Right bottom**<mark style="color:$primary;"></kbd>
   * <kbd><mark style="color:$primary;">**Bottom center**<mark style="color:$primary;"></kbd>
3. A light indicator will show the selected direction.

#### Optional: Select a backdrop color

If your image has a transparent background, you may choose a background color to be generated in your scene. In the right-side light settings panel:

1. Select the <kbd><mark style="color:$primary;">**Backdrop (for products)**<mark style="color:$primary;"></kbd> dropdown menu.
2. Select a color from one of the following:
   * Select from a list of neutral tones
   * Select from the color palette
   * Select a color using the <i class="fa-eye-dropper" style="color:$primary;">:eye-dropper:</i> color picker tool
   * Input a HEX color value in the text input field

#### Optional: Add a Text Prompt

In the right-side Light settings panel, you may add a text prompt for overall direction.\
In the Text prompt field:

1. Write directly in the text prompt field.
2. Select <kbd><mark style="color:$primary;">**Library**<mark style="color:$primary;"></kbd> to re-use a previously saved prompt.
3. From the <i class="fa-cloud-arrow-up" style="color:$primary;">:cloud-arrow-up:</i> icon, upload an image and Beachside will create a description and place the text in the prompt field.

#### Select the Number of Outputs

In the right-side Light settings panel:

* Select how many variations to generate.
* You may generate up to 4 scenes at once.

#### Generate

After confirming all settings, select <kbd><mark style="color:$primary;">**Generate**<mark style="color:$primary;"></kbd>.

The generated scenes will appear in your Playground.

## Point light

Point Light allows you to place localized lighting within a scene. You define the position and size of the light source directly on the canvas.

The center point defines where the light originates.

The circular boundary defines how far the light spreads across the scene.

**On the canvas:**

* Select and drag the blue center point to change the position of the light source.
* Drag the outer circular boundary to increase or decrease the light radius.
